Augmented reality (AR) is a live, direct or indirect, view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data. PS Vita is utilising Wide Area Augmented Reality, which allows for up to six cards to be used and a much larger playing area.

Cross Platform Play.

PS Vita can play multiplayer with Playstation 3 on several games like Wipeout.
PS Vita can also be the Playstation 3 controller when playing games using Remote Play. User can store their downloaded game on PS Vita on PS3 or PC.
